We are excited to introduce you to our latest additions to the DPD family! - OFC Connor Wood joins us from Bolton, United Kingdom and is a graduate from Bolton College with a degree in Health and Social Care. He completed the North Dakota Police Basic Academy this past spring, and is almost complete with field training. - OFC Jaden Schmitz was born in Dickinson and grew up in Hazen, ND. After high school, he attended the University of Mary and received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. He became a seasonal Park Ranger at Lake Sakakawea State Park before applying with the PD. He, too, graduated the Academy this spring and is nearing completion of field training. - OFC Eric Michel is one of our newest lateral officers, coming to us with a wealth of experience from Spalding County Sheriff's Department (GA). He grew up in Griffin, GA and attended Gordon State Community College. After a stint as a mechanic, he was hired by the Griffin Police Department and later, the Spalding County SO. All three were sworn-in at last night's city commission meeting. Give a wave to these officers when you see them out and about! We are grateful for their service and commitment to the department and community!
