Water Distribution

The Utilities Department employs 10 operators that run the water distribution, stormwater collection, and wastewater collection systems. The water distribution system is a class III facility that distributes about 2.2 million gallons of water daily to a population of approximately 25,000. The water distribution infrastructure consists of 156 miles of watermain, four pedestal water tanks, three ground tanks, and four booster stations with a storage capacity of 4.868 million gallons.  The water distribution operators perform routine sampling for the Safe Drinking Water Act, Stage 2 Disinfectant Byproducts Rule, and the Lead and Copper Rule. The City purchases water from Southwest Water Authority (SWA) and distributes the water to the public.

We are very pleased to present the City’s Annual Drinking Water Quality Report. The purpose of this report is to provide information to our customers about the quality of our drinking water and the potential health risks, if any, associated with any detected contaminants. It will also provide access to additional information that will allow you to make informed decisions regarding your drinking water consumption.
