NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION FOR CITY COMMISSION POSITION
The City of Dickinson will hold a special election on Monday, August 18, 2025 to fill a vacancy as a result of Commissioner John Odermann’s resignation.
A candidate for any public office in an incorporated city may nominated by filing with the City Administrator, before four (4) p.m. on the sixty-fourth day before the holding of the election, a petition signed by not less than ten (10) percent of the number of qualified electors who voted for that office in the last city election.
The deadline for petitions to be submitted to the City Administrator is
June 16, 2025 by 4 PM MT.
A candidate will also be required to file a statement of interests as required by
N.D.C.C. § 16.1-09-02.
Petitions must meet the specifications of nominating petitions pursuant to N.D.C.C. § 16.1-11-16.
This Notice is being given pursuant to N.D.C.C. § 40-21-02(1).
