Judge Keogh

Judge Keogh received his law degree from the University of North Dakota in 1971 and was admitted to practice in North Dakota State and Federal Courts the same year. He has practiced law in Dickinson since then.

Judge Keogh has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General, appointed to serve as Slope County States Attorney, as New England City Attorney, as counsel for the Dunn County Social Service Board, as counsel for the Southwest Multi-County Correction Center Board, and as Richardton Municipal Judge. From 1995-2000 he served as a Temporary Administrative Law Judge for the state of North Dakota.

Judge Keogh has been a member of the North Dakota Judicial Education Commission, a delegate of the North Dakota Municipal Judges Association to the North Dakota Judicial Conference, and has served from 1990 to the present as President of the North Dakota Municipal Judges Association.

Judge Keogh and his wife Priscilla have five adult children: Scott, Christa, Kevin, Bryan, and Erin. Priscilla is a pianist and piano teacher, a former choral and band instructor, and is currently an adjunct lecturer in music at Dickinson State University. They both currently serve on the Community Concerts Board, are active in their church, and have been involved in many community activities or organizations.
